Samsung Galaxy S III Mini rumoured to be unveiled next week

Rumours are rife that Samsung is going to
unveil the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini at a
press event in Frankfurt, scheduled to be
held on October 11. Speculations
regarding a small version of the S III were
triggered after the invitations sent out by
Samsung's German arm featured taglines
such as “something small will be really
big”, “small is now a big hit” and “get
ready for a little sensation”.

The text on the Samsung invite
apparently suggest that the size of the
forthcoming device will be the most
notable feature. That's leading some to
believe the long-rumored S III Mini will
be unveiled at the event. It's not the first
time we've heard about a small version of
the S III in the works. The Galaxy S III
Mini rumours had first hit the Internet
back in August. Reports had then said that
the Mini would see the light of day in Q4
this year.

The S III Mini is expected to have a lower
price, and aimed at customers who do not
like giant screens. The Samsung Galaxy S
III Mini is likely to feature a 4-inch WVGA
(480×800 pixels) Super AMOLED display,
a 5MP camera and a dual-core processor.
Other details of the device are still
unknown.
Samsung is also being rumoured to launch
its S II Plus soon. The S II Plus is
expected to feature a 4.5-inch WVGA
AMOLED display, a 8-megapixel camera, a
1.5GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of
internal memory and 1GB of RAM.
